Sheds N Chalets has been licenced to provide consultation services by Secured by Design, the flagship UK police initiative to help ‘design out’ crime through the use of high-quality, innovative products and processes.
Secured by Design (SBD) is a recognised police initiative focused on helping to prevent crime through intelligent design and high-quality security measures. The scheme promotes the use of products that have been independently tested and meet approved security standards.
Sheds N Chalets has achieved SBD accreditation for its products following comprehensive testing by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB), confirming that they meet demanding standards for security and protection.
Our sheds are designed with security as a core feature. Rather than relying on an approved ground anchor or separate security products to enhance an otherwise standard shed, our shed itself has undergone rigorous security testing.
This sets Sheds N Chalets apart from many other sheds, where security may depend largely on additional accessories. With sheds N Chalets the entire shed has been tested, providing a purpose-built secure storage solution designed to help protect your belongings.
There are only two companies in the UK that have a SS301 Sold Certification for sheds, and we are one of them.
We have a bronze sold secure certification for the sheds themselves, however we do use the Oxford anchor 10 which is silver and also the oxford padlock which is a gold standard.
Only the bronze certification is available for the sheds themselves.
There are now 2 specifications for SBD Sheds, there is the Secured By Design New Homes Guide 2019 to 2024, and there is now also the 2025/26 New Homes Guide, the SBD Shed has to be certified to SS301 Sold Secure, bronze rated specification for which we hold.
